Generative Design for Roll-Bonded Cold Plates

Learn how generative design can be used to optimize the performance and functionality of roll-bonded cold plates.

Summary

This webinar explores the benefits and limitations of using roll-bonded cold plates compared to regular sheet metal stamped designs. While roll bonding does not offer the same level of design freedom as stamping, it is a more cost-effective option for many applications. Attendees will learn how generative design can be used to optimize the performance and functionality of roll-bonded cold plates, despite the unique constraints they present. The webinar will provide valuable insights into how to create innovative and efficient designs while balancing budgetary considerations.

Agenda

  • Introduction to roll bonded cold plates and their benefits
  • Constraints of roll bonding and how generative design can help overcome them
  • Generative design process
  • Case study
  • Performance comparison with stamped sheet metal designs

Meet your host

Niels Verdijck

Ir. Verdijck joined Diabatix team on July 2021, after achieving his master’s degree in mechanical engineering at the renowned University of Leuven. During his time at the University, Niels worked on multi-objective topology optimization of a microjet cooler. Currently, as Customer Support Engineer, he focuses on helping ColdStream users with their projects by providing them with insights and feedback.
