Our CEO, Dr Lieven Vervecken, will be speaking during a webinar organized by the IEEE on July 7th. He will be talking about "Enabling the next steps in power electronics through generative design of cooling components", displaying Diabatix's expertise in this field.
Thermal management presents a unique problem to power electronics users who are faced with the challenge of presenting solutions that are efficient, compact, lightweight and affordable. However, despite its central role on the component’s lifecycle, the thermal design procedure has remained roughly the same for the last decades. Recent developments in the field of generative design, allied to the increased availability of computational resources and innovations in computation fluid dynamics (CFD), have revolutionized the thermal component design process and replaced it by one that does not require any human interaction. During this talk, the added value of the generative thermal design process towards thermal management for power electronics is illustrated through a series of case studies, showing how this new technology can enable the next steps in power electronics development.
This topic fits perfectly into the scope and mission of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), being the advancement of the theory, practice, and application of computer and information processing science and technology and the professional standing of its members.
It's bound to be an interesting talk, so make sure to register in time so you too can attend.
