### Abstract

LEDs operating in high temperatures might prematurely fail and provide less light output. Adequate thermal management is crucial to improve production costs, material usage and operating range. While conventional experimental tests can be expensive, time-demanding and require extensive preparation, the current technologies simplify this process by using numerical simulations to predict the LED behavior.
