Introduction
Once your case has finished, our software will automatically push the results back to the platform. When this happens, you'll get an email notifying you.
The platform is equiped with a post-processing function, which allows you to visualize the results. Clicking on your finished case will redirect you to the 'Case Summary'-tab. In this tab, you have an overview of all the relevant data, for example: pressure drop, temperatures, ... .
There are also two other tabs available to you, the 'Result charts'-tab and the 'Case 3D Results'-tab.
The 'Result charts'-tab shows the same amount of information as the 'Case Summary'-tab but the information is presented in chart format rather than showing the numerical data.
The 'Case 3D Results'-tab visualizes the results in 3D, meaning that you don't need any other software to plot the temperature distrubution for example.
If you want to read about these different tabs in more detail, please click on the following hyperlinks; Case Summary, Result charts and Case 3D Results.
If you have a more specific post-processing functionality in mind, you can download your results. The following chapters go more in depth into what can be downloaded from ColdStream.
Download results
In the top right corner of every finished case, you'll find the 'Download Results'-button. When you press this button, a zip folder will be downloaded with all the simulation results in it. You can use Paraview for instance to perform more specific post-processing commands. This feature is available for both simulation and design cases.
Download design
For finished design cases, there is another button available to you in the top right corner. When you press the 'Download Design'-button, a zip file with the optimized design(s) will be downloaded into your downloads folder. This zip file contains STEP files of all the optimized designs.
The protocol of these STEP file will be AP-213, but should be interpreted automatically by your CAD software. These STEP files can be reuploaded to ColdStream if you want to do a sensitivity analysis, the other regions should of course be modified first to accomodate the optimized design.
