Designing an optimal air cooled heat sink


Cooling by air is very relevant in applications such as microprocessors, electronics or batteries. Traditionally, air-cooled heat sinks consist of multiple parallel fins. These designs are very simple, but do not harness the full cooling potential. In this video, Joris discusses three ways to make air cooled heat sink designs significantly more efficient.
